Sports Successes

This past fall 2023 sports season, many of our teams achieved success. The Girls Varsity Soccer team made it to the state finals where they made history being the first to win a state semifinal match. The girls were coached by Stuart Love and Kelsey Ferguson. When interviewed, members of BLP said, “This was the best season of our lives. Not only the coaches and the wins but the teammates and friendships we have all gained really made it something special.” More success came from the Girls Varsity Cheer team, who won the Suffolk County Championship giving them a ticket to the state finals where the girls were fierce competitors and made memories that would last a lifetime. The Cross-Country team was also well represented upstate by runners Noah Norinder, Cassidy Hayes, and Kayla Hayes who all qualified and put Babylon on the map. All these teams were shown extreme support from the community with parades, recognition from the Board of Education, and a celebratory barbecue. These amazing teams truly embodied what it means to be a Panther and the town can’t wait to see our student athletes continue winning in the winter season!
