The summer before my senior year was a perfect escape, filled with relaxation and adventure as I traveled to the Florida Keys and relaxed at home. I spent my days soaking up the sun at Gilgo Beach and the Key’s infamous beaches, snorkeling in the crystal-clear waters, and exploring the charm of the Keys. Key West, with its vibrant culture and rich history, was a highlight. I loved visiting the Ernest Hemingway home and wandering down Duval Street while trying many different variations of key lime pies. The sunsets were breathtaking, casting brilliant hues of orange and pink across the sky not only in Florida but on Long Island as well. I spent my days at home catching up on my favorite TV shows, spending time with friends, and working on my college applications. It was the ideal summer to unwind, recharge, and make unforgettable memories before diving into the excitement of senior year.
