Working in retail has taught me so many things I didn’t expect. In the tourist town of Montauk, New York, people often do not think of the faces behind the counter when they buy their famous MTK sweatshirts. That is me. I have met people of all kinds and learned invaluable communication skills. As one of the last stores on Long Island, with fourth three years in business, this family business is the heartbeat of Montauk. It is always heartwarming to see my people wearing the sweatshirts I sold in random places. With just five employees, we help people across the country remember their trips to “The End.”
