The Perfect Blue Sky

Michael Glynn, Contributor

The blue sky sitting up high

But soon fades into a bluish grey

I guess we can say goodbye to this perfect blue sky

Some may ask why

Why this perfect day must leave us again

The darkness rolls in

Crack goes the thunder

Here comes another outburst

These are the times we feel the worst

The rain on the roof

The hidden anger coming out

Scream and shout

The anger comes out

Rage fuels inside

But still I must ask why

Where is the perfect blue sky

Wanting to escape the hate of the ruthless black cloud

I make my way to the eye

The eye of the storm

The calmest point

You want to stay there forever but life must go on

The storm goes by

Then there I lie

Afraid to wonder

Afraid to ask why

Where is the perfect blue sky
