Piper’s Ball

Pipers Ball

On Saturday, November 18th the Hibernian Hall in Babylon Village held its 55th annual Saffron United Pipe Band Piper’s Ball. There they had live music, food, and dancing. This even included a  performance from the young students learning how to play the drums and the pipes!

After the event, I interviewed Ashley Gude, who was there. When asked what she thought of the ball, she said, “It was so much fun and I definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to go!”

At the ball they played mostly Irish music, and some Irish step dancers even “stepped up” and performed. There was also people, young and old, who were dressed in uniform who played the pipes and the bodhran, which is the type of drum they use for Irish music.

In final consideration, the event was a lot of fun for everyone there.
