Student Council Sponsored Breast Cancer Walk 2016

On October 18th, this past Tuesday night, Babylon’s Senior High Student Council ran a successful fundraiser to support Breast Cancer research, raising nearly three hundred dollars. With Babylon’s new track decorated in pink, people from all over the community gathered to walk in support of those suffering from breast cancer.  Of special note, the West Babylon Teacher’s Association made a generous donation, led by one of the teachers who had taught former Babylon teacher and breast cancer warrior, Shannon Saturno. Student Council sold home-made desserts to the walkers with all proceeds going towards the Babylon Breast Cancer Coalition. This organization works to help those affected by breast cancer and their families, aid breast cancer research, and provide health education. Babylon High School’s annual Breast Cancer Walk was a great night and a great success!
