This year’s BHS homecoming was one to remember. Babylon won against Miller Place by a landslide with the overall score being 57-48. We kicked off the game with Babylon’s annual homecoming parade. Although each class showed monumental effort, the seniors took the win. Their float was Cinderella and their clock strikes twelve, which included a clever mural that challenged Miller Place with the phrase “Time’s Up.” Their float consisted of a beautiful wooden castle with a pumpkin garden below and a giant clock in the center.
The winner of Homecoming king was Jackson Maurino. Jackson described the win as “an inspiring way to start senior year,” and the winner of Homecoming Queen was Grace Varley. “I loved the way I got to be a role model for all the young girls in the crowd,” Grace explained. All members of the court had the opportunity to ride through town in the parade. The other members of the court included Riley Altmen, Shayden Kenedy, Emily Love, Caitlyn Watral, Brady Cunneen, Kian Donnelly, Patrick Costa, and Daniel DeBetta.
As always, the Babylon Varsity cheer team showed a tremendous amount of school spirit along with the student section as the football team led Babylon to victory.
