The leaves of the trees have already gone
Except, for just one
It stands there still and strong,
Until it dies and re-spawns.

The geese swim about, not bothered by the cold.
Just like the lakes, that once had a flow.
The coldness makes the water frozen
But now it has a sparkling glow.

The duck swims away from the sheet of ice,
to find somewhere that is nice.
It gathers ‘round to share the warmth,
Oh! What a nice image it forms!
